Sacramento run to support foster children

FosterHope will organize a fundraiser and community run for foster kids in May at William Land Park in Sacramento.

The 3rd Annual Run to FosterHope is an event where people can help children in foster care while participating in a 5K race. The activity celebrates Foster Care Awareness Month and will raise funds for FosterHope’s community-based programs. The course for the race will use the trails next to landmarks such as the Sacramento Zoo and Fairytale Town. Guests can also browse vendors at the park, order from on-site food trucks, and learn about public resources from info booths.

FosterHope is a Foster Family Agency that is licensed in California and provides support to foster children living in local regions like San Joaquin, El Dorado, and Sacramento Counties. The agency offers transitional services and extended services to older teens. People can help the organization by volunteering for the agency’s projects and events. The nonprofit group has worked on several community projects, such as the Garden Project and Fence Project.

The run will be held on Saturday, May 18th. The cost to participate in FosterHope’s event is $35 per adult and $25 for those who are 17 years old or younger. Seniors will also get a discount on their registration. Prices will increase after April 18th. Foster organizations in charge of similar outdoor activities may use banner printing to promote their missions and activities.
