The Women's Fitness Festival will be held in Sacramento this June to support the non-profit organization WEAVE.
The Women's Fitness Festival is an event where women of all ages can compete in different races. The fest will include a 10K, 5K, and a Girls' Princess ½-Mile Run. Those who participate in the event can receive free health screenings from Kaiser Permanente, breakfast, and finisher medals. Those who can legally drink can also enter the festival's post-race mimosa garden. Anyone who takes part in the Princess ½-Mile Run will be given a tiara.
WEAVE is a group that offers crisis intervention services to survivors of domestic abuse and assault in Sacramento County. The services provided by the organization include a support line, emergency housing, safety planning services, and therapeutic counseling. People can volunteer to help WEAVE run its retail locations and represent the group at tables during events. The group also accepts cash donations and gifts of stock.
The fitness fest will be held on June 4. The cost to register for the Princess ½-Mile Run is $15 per child, and the price of the Women's 5K Run/Walk is $55. The 10K will also cost $55 to join. People will receive a discount on the 5K and 10K races if they register before Friday, May 5. Athletic events like this that support non-profits may use banner printing to help their activity get noticed by more consumers.
