Sacramento Earth Day is being planned for late April. As with all events at the moment, check as it approaches to make sure it is taking place as scheduled.
The event will be an opportunity for building community spirit and helping everyone learn how to reduce their ecological footprints.
Over 150 businesses and organizations have been getting flyer printing done, Business Cards updated, and Promotional Products ready for exhibits that will be passing out information, and selling goods and services. These exhibits will promote greener and healthier ways of living.
Speakers will be giving lectures, wildlife presentations, and composting classes. The whole family can enjoy fun activities such as the labyrinth, interactive educational games and live music. Electric vehicles will be available to explore. Young attendees can play in the kids’ area.
The food vendors will be selling vegan cuisine. People may also want to bring their own food as there is a picnic area.
Local artists will be vending their original work. Many people that go to events such as these often collect business cards from their favorite artists so they can purchase more items from them at a later date.
To encourage people to bike to the event, there will be valet parking for bikes.
Sacramento Earth Day is currently scheduled for April 26 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at Southside Park, 2115 6th Street. The event will be free.
