The E. Claire Raley Studios for the Performing Arts (CLARA) in Sacramento will be holding a summer camp in June for children and teens.
The CLARA Performing Arts Summer Camp is a program that introduces students to various theatrical concepts. The two-week camp will feature 15 classes educating kids about dancing, music, and production arts. A performance will be held by the participants for friends, family, and the community. CLARA is a non-profit organization that wishes to unleash Sacramento’s creative potential by providing the community with education and resources. The group brings art programs to public schools, teaches professional development workshops for adults, and offers an affordable venue for arts organizations to utilize for rehearsals. The first session of summer camp will begin on Monday, June 21, and the second will start on Monday, July 26. The program is open to those between the ages of 10 and 18, and will cost $495 per student. The performing academy will also offer a junior camp for younger participants for $245 per child. Each session will last from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
