Sacramento music and theater lovers will get a chance later this month to get a sampling of the work of composer Andrew Lloyd Weber, the man behind such musicals as Phantom of the Opera, Evita, and Cats.
The Sacramento Theatre Company will present ‘Any Dream Will Do’, a two-act Cabaret performance.
Lloyd Webber, who is also known for other hits such as ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ and ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, has composed music for a long list of shows and has now had some of his work set into a local framework known as the Cabaret Series. This is where live musicians and six performers offer some of the most well-known songs by the British composer. The crew promises that audience members will hear many familiar tunes, along with some not so well-known songs.
Those who plan to attend may want to update their digital Business Cards, as the evening promises to be a good night for sharing these with other Lloyd Webber devotees.
The show is scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday the 28th, 29th, and 30th of January, at the Cabaret Stage, 1419 H Street, Sacramento. Running time is approximately 90 minutes. Tickets can be purchased on the Company website, although prices vary by seating, so those interest are advised to check the website.
