Sacramento in March celebration of diversity

Sacramento will host multiple cultural events during March.

On March 14, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festivities will begin at 10:00 am on Old Sacramento Waterfront, 1124 2nd Street. Dancers and Musicians will perform along the waterfront starting at 11:00 am. The parade starts at 1:00 pm.

After the parade, Rebel Heart Tahoe will have a live performance from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on the K Street stage. Live performances will be given by Voice Academy, Dirty Chops Brass Band, McKeever School of Irish Dance, and BlyueRose Dance Project.

Mariachi Festival de Sacramento is coming to Memorial Auditorium, 1515 J St., Sunday, March 22 beginning at 4:00 pm. Entertainment will include Mariachi Divas, Shaila Durcal, Mariachi Los Reyes, Ballet Folklorico Nube De Oro, and Mariachi Nuevo Mexico.

Brazilian Carnaval Sacramento will be holding its 10th annual event on March 21 from 4:00 to 11:00 pm at the Brazilian Center for Cultural Exchange of Sacrament, 2420 N. St. #180. The event will feature Brazilian music and cuisine. Brazilian cocktails called Caipirinhas will be available for purchase.

Art vendors will sell colorful works, and there will be a 50/50 raffle. Entertainment will include Unidos Da Capital Brazilian Drum Line, Sambada Live Band, Agua de Beber Brazilian Capoeira and Capoeira Batuque Brazilian Capoeira (martial art dance), Fenix Drum and Dance Co., and Mistura Brasileira Samba Dancers.

Pictures taken at these types of events often go to nearby Print shops to be used in advertising the events for the following year.
