Sacramento area residents who are on the hunt for new employment opportunities should mark their Calendars for an upcoming job fair. Next week, the city's Crowne Plaza Hotel will be hosting the 22nd annual June HIREvent. Prospective candidates are likely hard at work getting their digital Business Cards ready for the convention, which is expected to feature dozens of employers.
Attendees will be able to meet with representatives from private companies as well as governmental agencies. The names of the participating organizations have not yet been announced; however, they are all hoping to hire new employees in the near future, and some will be hiring on the spot. Candidates are encouraged to come to the event in professional attire, as they may be asked to complete interviews before they leave the hotel.
The career fair will also feature an area where job seekers can present their resumes for professional review. Seasoned human resources and management personnel from various organizations will offer their opinions on the quality of each participating candidate's CV and suggest any revisions that they believe might improve his or her chances of receiving interviews and hiring offers. This service will be free, as will admission to the job event as a whole.
The June HIREvent is set for Tuesday, June 25. It will open at 1002: pm and close at 4:00 pm. The Crowne Plaza Hotel is located at 5321 Date Avenue, in close proximity to Interstate 80. Refreshments are expected to be served.
