Sacramento will have at least three options for celebrating America’s special day this year.
The Pocket/Greenhaven parade will begin at 10:00 am at 7654 Pocket Road. Judges will pass out awards for best entries and everyone can then participate in the business community fair. The fair will have live music, a hotdog-eating contest, and food trucks. Businesses that set up booths at fairs such as this usually bring plenty of Business Cards to pass out to interested parties.
Fourth on the Field at Raley Field will offer food from local food trucks, live music from local bands, contests, and games. Children can play in the Farm Playground area. There will push-up and hot-dog eating contests. General admission for will be $10 and tickets for kids 12 years of age or younger will be $5.
Admission to the field's Western Health Advantage Legacy Club will be $15. Adults only will be able to enter the club and they will be able to play ping pong, foosball and darts and order alcoholic beverages.
The fireworks will begin around 9:30 pm and the audio portion can also be heard at the same time on The End 106.5.
Fourth on the Field, 400 Ballpark Drive, will take place July 4th with the event opening at 6:00 pm.
Cal Expo will offer live rock and country with plenty of time and area for dancing on the 4th starting at 4:30 pm. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:30 pm.
