Sacramento goes to the circus

The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus will be coming to Sacramento in September. This will mark the 145th anniversary of this old American tradition.

This year’s theme will be 'Out of this World' and the program promises to be “Light years beyond the expected.”

One hour before the performances, the ‘5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Blast Off’ experience will have the children meeting the performers and getting their autographs. This will be a golden opportunity to get some pictures of family members and circus people including the clowns for later poster printing. Along with this Starseekers Early Access TM that comes free with the ticket purchase, ticketholders will also get a chance to go backstage and become part of the interstellar dance party. Clown Alley will have the Ringling Brothers famous clowns, and the interactive stations along the concourse will have everyone going from one experience to another until time for the show.

This show will have The Circus Space Fleet taking the crowd on a good-versus-evil quest. The program will have acrobats, aerialists, animals, daredevils, and of course clowns.

The circus will have seven performances here in Sacramento, running September 9 through the 18, at the Sleep Train Arena, 1 Sports Parkway. The matinees will begin at 3:00 pm and the evening performances will start at 7:00 pm.
