The Farm-to-Fork Festival will be holding its Street Fair in a few days. The two-day event will cover more than a mile of local food, cooking demonstrations, and local and regional craft beer and wines.
On Friday, DJ Zephyr will give three shows – Me&You, Barns Courtney, and ZZ Ward will perform on the Bank of America Stage.
On Saturday, fans can see Nate Smith, Lukas Nelson & Promise, and Samantha Fish. There will be the Sysco Sacramento Sous Chef Challenge from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on the UC Davis Health Stage, and from 3:15 pm until 4:00 pm, a cooking demonstration where kids can learn how to make spring rolls will also take place on the UC Davis Health Stage.
Other activities will include a free flower arranging workshop from 11:00 am until noon, and a demonstration titled ‘Fresh to Market Beef 101’ featuring Corporate Executive Chef Stazi Dulman of Nugget Market from noon until 1:00 pm. Both of these will be on the Nugget Markets Stage. From 11:00 am until 11:30 am, Maria de Jijs will introduce Sac County’s pest detection dog Taz on the Acura Stage.
Cities that hold festivals such as this usually have photographers taking pictures. These pictures often go to local Print shops to be added to the following year’s visitor guide brochure printing.
This year’s Farm-to-Fork Street Festival will be Friday, September 27th from 4:00 pm and Saturday, September 28 from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm at the State Capitol.
