Licensed mental health professionals can attend a workshop in May in Sacramento to learn about an alternate approach to therapy.

The Basic ART Training course is a multi-day lesson where people can be introduced to accelerated resolution therapy (ART). ART is a form of treatment that reprograms how the brain stores traumatic memories to foster a rapid recovery in patients. The workshop will further define ART and show how to properly apply it to mental problems. Students will get to practice using ART with clients and learn about which symptoms this type of therapy can relieve.

All attendees are expected to follow health and safety guidelines while taking the course. Participants will need to fill out an ART International Pre-Screening Questionnaire before being allowed into the training space. Students will be seated six feet apart during each lesson and are encouraged to wear face coverings in the classroom. Organizations offering in-person courses like this can use poster printing to create reminders for attendees to follow regulations.

The training sessions will start on May 14th and end May 16th, and each lesson will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The cost to sign up for the course will be $1,500 per student. All participants must register for the class at least ten days before May 14th. Non-profit organizations can receive special rates for the program.
