The Sacramento County Fair is coming in a few days. The theme this year is ‘Let’s eat and have fun and celebrate the red, white and blue.’
The five-day event will feature an extreme dog show, monster trucks on May 24, and Stars and Stripes Invitational Bull Riding on May 25.
Other entertainment will include music groups like Keep on Truckin’, Rockin’ Down the Hiway, Eric “EQ” Young, Murray Hatfield & Teresa, and Viva Santana. Captain Jack, a sword-wielding, torch, cannonballs, and knives juggling pirate and crew, will be bringing their talking monkey. The Ramos Brothers Circus will be introducing jugglers, clowns, horses, and motorcycle daredevils too.
Great American Duck and All-Alaskan Racing Pig races, Corny Crow, the Veloci-Raptor Dinosaur-Charlie, ponies, camels, and train rides and the Great American Petting Farm will be there.
Animal competitions will include small and large livestock, horses, and dogs. Other contests available are the likes of corn dog eating, wheelbarrow gardens, the diaper derby, and the Rising Start Talent Show for kids 14 and under.
Winners in competitions like these usually take pictures to local Print shops for Copies to send to family and friends.
The 2019 Sacramento County Fair will take place over the Memorial Day weekend from May 23 through May 27 at Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd.
