Sacramento brings music, dance, and flavor

The Sacramento Salsa Festival will return this May. The event will offer a day of live entertainment at the Old Sacramento Waterfront.

Attendees will enjoy salsa music, a salsa-tasting competition, and a vibrant festival atmosphere featuring food vendors, a carnival, and a beer and margarita garden.

The event highlight will be the salsa competition, where festivalgoers will sample and vote for their favorite salsa. The festival will also feature two entertainment stages. The central stage will showcase Orquesta Taino, an eight-piece Latin jazz and salsa band led by vocalist and percussionist Aaron Routtenberg. Mariachi Trio Tradicional will open the central stage, bringing a classic mariachi sound to the festival.

The second stage will feature DJ performances from Marie, Analog Disko, Enrique Silva, and Ralfy Z. The festival’s street taco-themed food area will provide a variety of authentic flavors, complementing the music and dance experience.

Tickets grant entry to the salsa competition, live music, and the beer and margarita garden. Pre-sale general admission is $17.85, with a family of four ticket available for $49.87. General admission on the day of the event is $23.18. Print shops may be utilized by organizers to increase awareness about festivals such as this one.

The Sacramento Salsa Festival will take place on Saturday, May 10, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Old Sacramento Waterfront, 1014 2nd St, Suite 200, Sacramento.
