The Sacramento Blues Society will organize a fundraiser at Harlow's in Sacramento this March.
The 2nd Annual Little Charlie Baty Celebration Concert Fundraiser is an event where people can support students in the School of Music while listening to talented blues performances. A portion of the concert's proceeds will be used for scholarships that honor guitarist and blues musician Charles Baty. The entertainment for the evening is provided by Rick Estrin and The Nightcats. Anson Funderburgh will be a special guest for the fundraiser.
The Sacramento Blues Society is a non-profit that wishes to preserve and promote the blues genre. The organization gives awards to those who have made significant contributions to the blues industry. This year, the award recipients include Derrick D'mar Martin and Christoffer Andersen for Instrumentalist of the Year. The organization was founded in 1979, making it one of California's oldest blues societies. People can support the blues group by donating or becoming a member.
The concert fundraiser will be on Thursday, March 23 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Those who buy their tickets in advance can pay $40 to attend the show, and people who purchase admission on the day of the concert must pay $45. VIP tickets can be bought for $75. Non-profits that coordinate concerts such as this may use printing services to advertise their shows.
