New Orleans-themed fest to return to Sacramento

The Crawfish and Catfish Festival will be coming back to Sacramento this September.

The Crawfish and Catfish Festival is a fun cultural experience where people can try various foods while listening to live entertainment. Several vendors will attend the street fair, such as On The Go Catering, Lil Rich's Italian Ice, and Louisiana Heaven. Attendees can order items like alligator, jambalaya, and gumbo. People may also watch crawfish races at the event.

Each day of the festival will be dedicated to a different genre of music. The first day of the fest will feature blues groups like Bob Jones & the Chosen Few, the Sid Morris Duo, and Zydeco Flames. The second event day will focus on funk and include performances from the Dirty Chops Brass Band and the Element Brass Band.

The event was created by Louisiana Sue, who is a chef from New Orleans who promoted the city's culture through themed festivals. She has organized several events, including the Old Sacramento Mardi Gras, Voodoo on the Bayou, and the Isleton Crawdad Festival.

The fest will take place on September 9 and September 10 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Admission will cost $25 per person, though discounts are available to whoever buys their tickets online. Cities that organize cultural experiences similar to this may use flyer printing to get their communities interested in the events.
