Sacramento will be organizing a grilled cheese festival and alcohol-tasting event in April at Southside Park.
The Sacramento Grilled Cheese Festival offers consumers a chance to try grilled cheese creations from several local eateries. The participating vendors for this year's event will include Rancho Rio Bravo Catering, Barwest Midtown, and Dad's Sandwiches. Attendees must pay for quarter portions of sandwiches from the eateries. The cost of admission to the fest will include activities for children and live music entertainment. A portion of the festival's earnings will benefit Shriners Children's Hospital.
Adults who want a more grown-up experience can attend the Grilled Cheese, Beer, & Wine Tasting event on the day before the family-friendly festival. Those who go to this version of the festival will get to enjoy unlimited samples of grilled cheese sandwiches, alcohol, and desserts. A souvenir glass will be given to each guest. Participants in the tasting experience are allowed to bring their own folding chairs, blankets, and water bottles.
The adults-only festival will take place on Saturday, April 29th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and will cost $75 to attend. The all-ages grilled cheese fest will be held on Sunday, April 30th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tickets to this event can be bought for $10.
