Center to host evening of fine food for charity

For an evening of dining while also supporting a very worthy cause, Sacramento food connoisseurs will have an opportunity to attend the 27th Annual Wine and Food Fest coming later this month.

The local traditional evening benefits the Make a Wish Northeastern California and Northern Nevada. Since it opened in 1983, this chapter has granted more than 5,000 wishes to local area children with life-threatening illnesses.

More than 100 regional wineries and restaurants will be offering their special cuisine and libations. The live auction will again be orchestrated by the Gavel Girl Auctioneer, Dawn Marie Kotsonis.

Kotsonis will be auctioning more than 30 lots, including romantic getaways, sports memorabilia, and vacation packages. More item are being added daily. The event will also offer silent auction mobile bidding. This evening will be an opportunity to network, so attendees will want to be sure to bring their digital Business Cards with them.

General admission will allow the guest to the food and wine tasting, the live wish performance, and the mobile silent auction. The more expensive VIP admission will feature the finest local wine, a sit-down gourmet dinner, a live wish reveal, and participation in the live auction.

The Food Fest is scheduled for April 25, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at the Sacramento Convention Center, 1400 J Street, Sacramento.
