Volunteers needed for Riverside's annual Citrus Festival
It takes a lot of volunteers to successfully run a festival like the 3rd Annual Citrus Festival coming to Riverside in early April and organizers are calling for people to help.
The festival will have citrus tastings, food, drinks, live music, kids' activities, vendors and painting and cooking demonstrations.
Vendors at events such as this often have special business cards featuring event colors and symbols printed at local print shops beforehand.
Volunteers will be needed to pick a variety of citrus from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm on Tuesday, and 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday. They will meet at the gazebo on both days. On Thursday, the pickers will meet at 8:30 am behind the visitor center and picking will end at 3:30 pm. This fruit will be used for the citrus tastings.
On Friday and Saturday, crews will be needed for setting up, cutting fruit, runners to help the three leaders, and citrus-tasting helpers.
Past or present Friend board members are asked to volunteer for manning the information booth. They will be directing visitors around the venue. The time slots will be from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
A cleanup crew will be needed from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday.
The 2025 Citrus Festival will take place Tuesday April 1st to Saturday April 5th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at California Citrus Historic Park, 9400 Dufferin Avenue, Riverside.
