Riverside to host historic festival

The Riverside community is steeped in history, and organizers have already begun to prepare for an event intended to celebrate its unique origins. This spring festival will focus on the cultural heritage of Riverside, and provide on-site refreshments.

The 13th Annual Riverside Tamale Festival for the Trujillo Adobe offers a glimpse into the past of the entire region. Participants can learn about the origins of Riverside, and the first settlements created by Lorenzo Trujillo as far back as 1842. This district has since come to be known as "Spanish Town" over the years.

As the title of the event also suggests, another primary focus involves the production of tamales. Local artisans will then offer these tasty treats to attendees. Other attractions include live musical performances, dancing, and kiosks selling souvenirs. All ages are welcome, and this is a family-friendly festival.

In addition to methods such as multi-page brochure printing, event organizers will often leverage other proven marketing strategies. These may include creating large Banners, updating community websites, and distributing Flyers.

The 13th Annual Riverside Tamale Festival for the Trujillo Adobe is being celebrated on Saturday April 18th between 11 AM and 7 PM. All events are set to take place within White Park located 3885 Market Street. This event is free to attend. All proceeds from on-site purchases will be donated to the Spanish Town Heritage Foundation.
