Riverside set to hold Selena tribute concert

Few artists had as much of an impact on the international musical community than Selena. This Tejano-born singer was cut down in the prime of her life, and Riverside residents can soon enjoy a tribute concert highlighting her most popular songs.

The Amor Prohibido concert is slated to pay tribute to the life and times of Selena. Originally born Selena Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, this singer would emerge from her Mexican roots, and break into the American music scene in the early 1990s. Some of her most memorable songs include Dreaming of You, I Could Fall in Love, and Amor Prohibido.

Selena was known for her influence on the pop music community, and she helped to bridge the gap for other Latin American artists who hoped to make their presence known throughout the United States. This event is intended to showcase that her legacy lives on.

Organizers of tribute concerts will often rely on multiple advertising techniques to connect with as large of an audience as possible. From flyer printing and brochure distribution to playing relevant songs on local radio stations, a host of possibilities are available.

The Amor Prohibido concert is being held on Sunday, August 30th at 8 PM. This event will be hosted by the Riverside Municipal Auditorium located at 3485 Mission Inn Avenue. Ticket prices begin at $21 per person.
