Riverside history buffs to attend historical symposium

Riverside will soon host an event dedicated to discovering the rich history of this town, and the surrounding areas. This seminar is open to those who are curious to learn more about their local roots, or hope to appreciate how Riverside has evolved over the years.

The 2026 Riverside County History Symposium will be focusing on four themes. It will delve into the life of San Jacinto resident Edward Hyatt. It will then discuss the origins of the Hemet Depot railroad freight house. This seminar also aims to provide insight regarding the founding and incorporation of nearby Flabob Airport.

Not only can guests access four different sessions hosted by guest speakers, but they are also provided with complimentary meals throughout the day. The event will conclude with a walking tour of Flabob Airport. This symposium is being sponsored by the Riverside County Heritage Association.

Seminars associated with the history of local communities will leverage traditional promotional methods. A handful of approaches include brochure printing, banner advertising, and mass-produced Flyers.

The 2026 Riverside County History Symposium is scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 7th from 8 AM to 3 PM. Tickets are currently priced at $49.87 per person, although fees are subject to change. The event is being hosted by Flabob Airport located at 4130 Mennes Avenue. Refunds can be requested up to ten days in advance.
