February brings Valentine’s Day and the Superbowl, and Riverside will celebrate both.
The Kiwanis Club of Riverside will be holding its annual A Heart for Riverside in early February. Guests will be treated to dinner, drinks, a silent auction, and dancing to the music of the New Beginnings Band with Francis Rueda. Tickets are $85 before this Thursday, February 1 or $95 thereafter, and are available on the Kiwanis Club website. Proceeds will go to Riverside area children.
Although not a networking event, many businesspeople often take Business Cards with them to events such as this in case an opportunity presents itself.
A Heart for Riverside will take place Saturday, February 10 from 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm at the Elks Club #0643 at 6166 Brockton Avenue.
The Superbowl will be the following day and the Riverside Center for Spiritual Living will offer a rather unusual take on it with its Soup-er Bowl Sunday Soup Potluck, together with a food drive. Everyone is invited to bring their favorite homemade soup to share. Soup-er Bowl rings will be handed out to the team that brings the most canned goods for the food drive, and the MVP will go to the individual who donated the most canned goods.
Soup-er Bowl Sunday Soup Potluck will take place Sunday, February 11 beginning at 12:30 pm at 3891 Ridge Road.
