The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department will once again present Summer Fun Concerts in the Park during July. The series will present some of Southern California’s best local artists.
On July 7th, everyone will be entertained by Steel Rod a top 40 variety band. Rockabilly and Latin Variety music will be the musical fare on the 14th as Nueva Era takes the stage. The Motown band, Stone Soul, will play on July 21st and the series will end on July 28th with the Suave The Band playing Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue and ChaCha Latin music.
Event hats and shirts sporting the event’s Logo Design will be available for purchase at the venue. They will cost $20 each and $35 for both. Proceeds will generate scholarships for local underprivileged youth.
The event will be free, food vendors will be selling summer treats, and there will be a beer garden. The City of Riverside PRCSD Wellness Vehicle will be onsite with activities and PRCSD swag.
City departments that put on events such as this often have pictures taken during the event. These photos then go to local Print shops to be added to the city’s visitor brochure printing.
The four concerts will be on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Fairmount Park, 2601 Fairmount Blvd. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own beach chairs and blankets.
