Two series of free concerts have been made available during the next couple of months.
University Village Summer Concerts are in full swing. These will be on Thursdays from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A Pat Benatar tribute band, Live From Earth, plays on the 18th, and Jumping Joz will bring a swing dance party on the 25th.
In August, Mighty Cash Cats will pay tribute to Johnny Cash on the 1st; Captured will pay homage to Journey and Smooth will do the same for Santana.
The concerts will be located at University Village, 1201 University Avenue.
On Saturdays, a Summer Concert Series will have performances from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Regal Riverside Plaza Stadium, 3639 Riverside Plaza Drive. This series still has six concerts left. On the 20th, Angela Carole Brown will present an evening of rhythm and blues, and jazz. The next weekend will feature our own local acoustic guitarist, Apryle Dalmacio. She and her trio band will play acoustic-style contemporary music.
August’s line up will begin with Nation- a 90s rock group - on the 3rd, Ticket to Ride (Beatles tribute band of course) on the 10th, Kaitlyn Weathers and her band play country on the 17th and the Renown Muzic Band will end the series with dance and hot funk hits.
