State Bros. charities will once again sponsor a “Show and Go” Car Show in a couple of weeks. All proceeds will benefit local charities.
Registration for all cars, trucks, and motorcycles can be made either online or at the event from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 29. The Wayne’s Engine Cruise will run from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm that evening.
On Saturday, April 30, registration will be from 7:00 am to 10:00 am at the corner of 14th Street and Main. A Youth Corner will be available, and food, product, and service vendors will be setting up booths and selling their goods and services. The pancake breakfast will run from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, and cruise parking will begin at 6:00 am. A Grand Marshal parade will begin at 12:30 pm, and a participant open header cruise will take place from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Judging of the vehicles will take place from 9:00 am to noon, with the trophy notification taking place in the judging area on Main Street. The trophy presentation will take place at 4:00 pm at the stage on 12th Street and Market, and the drawing for the $2,000 engine will take place right after.
Pictures of winners of large prizes at events such as this often are taken to local Print shops to be included in the town’s visitor guides.
The “Show and Go” will take place in downtown Riverside, April 29 and 30.
