Riverside launches the Blue Zones Project with festival
Everyone here in Riverside is invited to celebrate the implementation of the Blue Zone Project Riverside by attending its free Kickoff Festival coming in mid-May.
The airplanes will be out for all to see and there will be live entertainment and performances in the Musical Instrument Zone. Community yoga and Family Zumba sessions will be continually taking place for those needing a little recharging and refreshing. Little ones may enjoy the Storytime and other family-friendly activities. Everyone can enjoy the food bites from the cooking demonstrations, and food vendors will also be passing out healthy food samples. Giveaways and drawings will be given out hourly.
The Blue Zone Project Riverside is a local initiative that focuses on creating healthy communities that lead to residents making healthier choices. Community transformation includes building the environment and habitat, improving city ordinances and municipal polices, supporting local schools, grocery stores, and workplaces and providing networking opportunities.
Supporters of worthwhile programs like this often order flyer printing before their fundraising events. These flyers are then placed at strategic places around town and in local organizations and businesses.
Although RSVPs are recommended, walk-ins will be welcome at the Blue Zone Project Riverside Kickoff Festival, which will take place Saturday, May 17 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Riverside Municipal Airport, 6951 Flight Road.
