Riverside has two events scheduled for same day

Two entirely different events have been planned for Riverside on Saturday, July 29.

The Family Market Company and Magnoila Center Market Night will be presenting an International Food Festival.

Sections of four city blocks (on Mission Drive from Lime Street to Orange Street) will be blocked off, and each section will feature a different theme. There will be an International Food area featuring food trucks, BBQ, vegan food, desserts, fine dining, and a beer and wine garden. About 120 food vendors are expected to participate.

Other sections will have retailers displaying and selling their merchandise and services, and a sponsors’ area.

Many businesses and organizations that sponsor events like this often bring Flyers and Business Cards to distribute to passers-by. Others like to advertise by offering Promotional Products such as promotional Pens, Totes, yardsticks, and pencils. The venue will also have street performers, live music, train rides, a fun zone, and food demonstrations.

The International Food Festival will take place 11:00 am on July 29 to 9:00 pm on the 30th in Downtown Riverside. Admission will be free.

Meanwhile starting at 7:00 pm over at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium, 3485 Mission Inn Avenue, a Midsummer Night’s Dream-themed ball will be presented by Riverside Dickens Festival.

The event will include historic Victorian dancing, knighting ceremony, an underground tavern, DJ, and live performances. Queen Victoria and characters from the play will meet with the attendees.

Tickets range from $25 to $85.
