Riverside has eclectic events in December
A museum anniversary gala, Christmas music from all over the world, and The Nutcracker are among the entertainment scheduled for Riverside during December.
The Museum of Riverside will be holding its 100th Anniversary Gala using a Roaring 20s theme. The VIP speakeasy and cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 pm. Gourmet cuisine for the evening will be catered, a live band will be playing jazzy music, and dancers will be doing the Charleston.
The gala will take place at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium, 34585 Mission Inn Avenue on Thursday, December 12, from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
That Sunday, December 15, FCC Riverside will hold its annual Christmas Around the World Christmas Concert. The free concert will explore music and stories from other countries that have influenced the Christmas music we enjoy here in the United States.
Christmas Around the World will take place beginning at 3:00 pm at FCC Riverside, 3504 Mission Inn Avenue.
Closer to Christmas Day, the MV Performing Arts Center, 23300 Cottonwood, will see Brava presenting David Allan's The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 21. This performance will star principal dancers from the New York City Ballet. Performances will be at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Finally, on Monday, December 30, the 20th annual Chanukah Festival will be at the Riverside County Historical Courthouse, 4050 Main Street from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Activities will include the lighting of the menorah, live music, traditional food, and family activities.
