Riverside goes on its annual Ghost Walk

This year will mark the 25th Anniversary of California Riverside Ballet’s Ghost Walk Riverside. The Walk has a rich tradition of drawing local storytellers, writers, vocalists, actors, and musicians to showcase their talents along the October walk through downtown Riverside.

This year, five tours will be available, some of which will be children and family friendly and others not so much. The Things That Go Bump in the Night will be for all ages, but the Fear Tour is rated PG. The other tours, which are the Run for Your Life Tour, the Nightmare on Main Street Tour, and Riverside’s Reckoning Tour, will be PG-13.

As a bonus, there will be live entertainment including dancing and music with groups such as Senryu Taiko, tricks, treats, games and activities for kids at the Halloween carnival. The games will have prizes. Of course, food vendors will also be on hand for guests to purchase Halloween goodies. There will be a costume contest for children 10 and under. ‘Bootiques’ will be selling Halloween-related items, and Riverside photographers may be there to get some good pictures for next year’s visitor’s guide Brochures.

The Walk will be Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 in Downtown Riverside at 3834 Main Street, Pedestrian Mall University and Main Street here in Riverside. The guided tours will start at Main Street Mall at 6:00 pm and go until 10:00 pm. Tickets for the tours are $15 each.
