As part of the month-long Eighth Annual Asian Pacific American cultural celebration, the Asian Pacific Cultural Association will be hosting its annual Asian Pacific Lunar New Year Festival – Lunar Fest 2018 – towards the end of this month. The one-day events will usher in the Year of the Dog.
The Parade of Nations will kick of the proceedings. This will be followed by the opening ceremony, and then the venue’s three stages will explode with traditional music, dance shows, and Taiko drums. Asian cultural and art exhibits will be on display, and there will be Martial Arts demonstrations throughout the day. Anime Cosplayers will also be presenting programs on the venue’s three stages.
A Children’s Village will offer free crafts, and local medical professionals will be conducting a Health Expo that will focus on the Asian art of blending Spirit, Body and Mind.
Many food booths will be selling authentic Far East Asian food and the Cultural Pavilion will be giving out samples of Asian teas.
Guests are encouraged to dress in Asian and South Pacific attire. Many guests will be taking pictures of their friends and families for personalized Stationery, family Calendars, and maybe even future poster printing.
The evening will end with what promises to be a spectacular Fireworks display.
Lunar Fest 2018 will be January 27 in Downtown Riverside, starting at 10:00 am.
