Downtown Riverside will be abuzz when Riverside Arts Council and the Riverside Downtown Partnership present their annual Riverside Art & Music Festival in early October.
Headliners on the Main Stage for the music portion of the festivities will be soul band Beaux Gris Gris & the Apocalypse. Other performers will include Integra Pink, The Dreamscape, Cold Cut, The Violet Mindfield, and community music artists. The Community stage will present other local talent.
Cultural and art exhibits will be strewn around the venue. There will also be many interactive artworks for attendees to take part in, including artist Nathaniel Osollo’s augmented reality scavenger hunt and Eastside Arthouse’s mural wall.
Art vendors will be on site displaying and selling their works, along with giving workshops and demonstrations. Attendees at events such as this often amass Business Cards from those artists whose work they especially enjoy.
The venue will have many activities on offer for children too, and local food trucks will be vending summer treats. As part of this year’s festival, a chalk art festival at Main and 9th will feature local artist demonstrations and local dance group performances.
The Riverside Art & Music Festival will take place on Saturday, October 7th from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm at White Park, 3936 Chestnut Street. Admission will be free.
