In celebration of the winter holidays, Mission Hotel and Spa will be starting its 28th Annual Festival of Lights in late November.
USA Today has named it “Best Public Holiday Lights Display in the Nation.” The event features over 400 animated elves, angels, and carolers and other animated figures. Santa Claus makes numerous appearances and the venue offers the largest mistletoe made my man. The venue will be replete with grandly decorated trees.
Locals are advised that some changes to the event are required this year due to social distancing measures, such as the Switch-On Ceremony being shelved, along with the traditional grand fireworks display.
Riverside residents are also invited to enjoy the holiday light displays in downtown Riverside.
Street performers will be limited to the Creative Corners at Museum Plaza at 3580 Mission Inn Avenue and the Library Plaza at 3581 Mission Inn Avenue, and will perform after 5:00 pm from Thursdays through Sundays during the event.
Families that attend events such as this often take holiday pictures of their family members and take or send the photos to nearby Print shops to be made into Holiday Cards.
Festival of Lights will begin November 27 at 4:30 pm. Mission Inn Hotel and Spa is located at 3649 Mission Inn Avenue. The festival is free and will run for five weeks, ending December 31.
