Inspire will be holding its 17th Annual Make a Difference Dinner and Fundraiser in early September. This year’s theme is “Reflections.”
The evening will include dinner, live auction, raffles, and personal testimonials from former Inspire youth that have experienced homelessness and been in the foster care.
The first-place prize in the Premier raffle will be a one-week stay at Marriott Villas in Desert Hot Springs. Second place will be a $200 gift certificate to Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Tickets will be $20 for two.
Tickets to the gala are $95 for individuals and $725 for tables of eight.
Over the last 17 years, Inspire has opened safe homes for teenage girls and boys attending college, the first being in Riverside in 2005 (five 18-year-old girls) and then in July 2008 (four boys). Since then, four more homes have been opened near RCC, and in Corona and Redlands. Currently the program has the capacity to accommodate 18 girls and eight young men.
The organization also offers live skills classes, employment, and counseling.
Anyone wishing to donate a little something extra may want to donate gift cards from gas stations, Target/Walmart, restaurants, movie theaters, hair salons or give prepaid Mastercard or Visa. Sometimes larger businesses give monetary Corporate Gifts to programs such as these.
This year’s Inspire dinner and fundraiser will take place Saturday, September 10th from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Marriott Downtown Riverside, 3400 Market Street.
