The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa’s 30th Festival of Lights has been scheduled for late November, and will see seasonal décor and lighting along Main Street.
The Switch-on Ceremony on November 25 will usher in Santa and his elves. Everyone is welcome to visit Saint Nick, and the event will have a first come, first served format. This year there will be no professional photography, so phone and camera photography are encouraged. Many families who take their own pictures early in holiday events such as this often take the photos to nearby Stationery printers to be used in making personalized Holiday Cards.
Santa will be available after the Switch-on Ceremony Thursdays through Sundays from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm until December 24, when his hours will be 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. He will return to the North Pole and not be available from December 25 through 31.
This year, the entertainment and artisans will be managed by The Collective. Although there will be some parking available, the event organizers encourage everyone to take the Riverside Transit to reduce traffic congestion and parking hassle.
The Switch-on Ceremony will be Friday, November 25 from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm. The lighting and décor will be gracing Riverside Downtown streets from Saturday, November 26 to Saturday December 31 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
