Riverside Airport will be presenting its 25th Annual Open House and Airshow early next month.
First thing in the morning, the Airshow Pancake Breakfast will be on the Ramp. The airport will then close and skydivers will jump holding the American Flag. There will be a welcome address and introduction of the City Council and other VIPS. Afterwards, there will be KC-136 fly-bys, CJ-6A “Nanchang” formation fly-by, and T-6 Texan formation fly-bys.
During the day, there will be an Antique & Classic Airplane Show, the Warbirds, a car show presented by Inland Empire Car Club, and an Emergency Preparedness Fair. Military aircraft and vehicles will be on display as well as replicas and helicopters. EAA Young Eagles, RC Model Flights, and the Riverside Police Department K-9s will be giving demonstrations.
Aerobatics will be provided by Dr. D’s Old-Time Aerobatics, John Collver’s T-6 ‘War Dog’, Chuck Coleman Extra 300, Jon Melby Pitts muscle Bi-Plane, and Julie Clark’s T-34 mentor.
Although vendors will be selling food and souvenirs, many families pack their own lunches and take their own pictures as souvenirs for later poster printing.
The show will be on April 1, starting at 9:00 am and going until 4:00 pm at Riverside Airport, 6951 Flight Road, Riverside. The Pancake breakfast will be from 7:00 am until 10:00 am. Admission will be free.
