Pleasant Hill to host bat presentation

Those who want to learn about bats can attend a virtual lesson next month offered by a local branch of the county library in Pleasant Hill.

Bats at the Library! is an educational program that people can view to discover interesting information about bats. Those who attend will be treated to a slideshow discussing the local bats found in California. During the presentation, viewers will see live bats on camera and even learn about the similarities between bats and humans. The activity is sponsored by the Friends of the Pittsburg Library.

The informative slideshow will be presented by the organization NorCal Bats, which is a group dedicated to rescuing local bats. The organization is also committed to providing public education regarding the environmental benefits of bats through several types of lectures. NorCal Bats organizes virtual shows and hosts on-site bat lectures for libraries, businesses, and schools. Educational facilities that offer programs like this can use printing services to market such activities to a community.

The slideshow on bats will be presented on Wednesday, March 3rd from 4pm to 5pm. The presentation will be suitable for all ages. Those who want to attend the free program can register online in advance. Zoom links to the discussion will be sent out to people who register the day before the broadcast airs.
