Summer by the Lake Summer Concerts are back in full swing in Pleasant Hill.
First up is The Floorshakers on June 21. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay area, the band uses its funk, soul, and rock vibes to get crowds dancing. The band loves interacting with its crowds and has done so for more than 25 years.
On July 5, the lake will host The Bell Brothers, a country rock group that is also from San Francisco. The award-winning duo has been performing together for nearly 20 years.
On July 19, neighbors can gather to check out the Oakland-based band Van Goat. The punk rock band has been described as raw and energetic, combining elements of swing and jazz into their songs.
On August 2, Zydeco Flames will take the stage. Known as the premier Zydeco band on the West Coast, the band plays fast-paced music meant to be danced to and has made major appearances up and down the coast.
The concert series continues into September, providing plenty of entertainment throughout the entire summer. During each concert, nearby Trelaney Drive will host food trucks from Taste of the World. Additionally, a family fun zone, complete with inflatables, is available for the kids to run off some energy and enjoy the evening as well. Organizers of music events like these can spread the word to the local community through means such as poster printing.
The concerts are all free to attend, and a full schedule is available on the Pleasant Hill website.
