A gala celebrating individuals and organizations making strides toward sustainability is in the works in Pleasant Hill, shining the spotlight on local heroes.
The 17th Annual Leadership in Sustainability Awards Gala, presented by Sustainable Contra Costa, has an official date on the calendar, and Pleasant Hill residents with a passion for making a difference will want to register. The event will provide an inspiring and fun atmosphere for attendees while highlighting the contributions of the local community toward sustainable living and business practices.
John Giola, the County Supervisor, will act as the gala awards celebration’s Master of Ceremonies. The gala will include an expansive roster of special guests. Awards for the evening will include the Pollution Prevention Awards, and attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the Contra Costa Green Business Program. Business card printing can help attendees at such events swap information and gain new connections with like-minded individuals.
The money raised during the evening will support Sustainable Contra Costa’s future initiatives for a cleaner environment. Chef Cindy Gershen will prepare the evening’s meals. Contributions of beer and wine from Calicraft Brewing and Viano Vineyards will ensure a refreshing evening.
The gala will be held at the Pleasant Hill Events Center on Wednesday, September 17th, with the doors opening at 6:00 PM. Tickets are available for $60 per person online.
