Pleasant Hill to honor loved ones with lighting ceremony

The non-profit group Hospice East Bay will be holding a tree lighting ceremony this November at Gregory Lane in Pleasant Hill.

The Hospice East Bay Tree of Lights Ceremony is an event where family and friends can honor those who have passed away. This year will be the group’s 40th anniversary of serving the community. The names of those who are gone will be read during the ceremony, and afterwards, there will be a reception at the nearby Teen Center. People can purchase a light in memory of a loved one to help support the organization’s high level of care.

Hospice East Bay was formed in 1977 to provide hospice and palliative care services to members of the community. The group has been accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program and is a licensed California agency. Those interested in contributing to their cause can buy items like Apparel and jewelry from the organization’s online thrift shop. Charitable groups similar to this can advertise their merchandise with flyer printing.

The lighting ceremony will occur on Sunday, November 15 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no fee to join the gathering, and registration is also not necessary to attend. Anyone unable to participate in the event can still support Hospice East Bay by donating to their online thrift store.
