Motorcycle ride provides gifts to Placentia students
Motorcycle owners wanting to go for a ride for a good cause will want to make a note in their journals, as a holiday-themed fundraiser is on the horizon in Placentia.
The Lifestyle Cycles Joy Ride has an official start date of next month. It will allow area motorcycle owners to get on their choppers and support a good cause for local youth. The event is organized by Lifestyle Cycles, a pre-owned Harley-Davidson store located in downtown Placentia.
Participants at the event will receive a free pancake breakfast courtesy of Black Sheep Harley-Davidson’s for Christ. Police will also escort the riders to Orange Grove Elementary, where they will be welcomed by the 1,100 students who attend the school. Banner printing is a memorable way to welcome participants to the school while promoting the ride’s sponsors and building brand awareness.
Upon arriving, riders will help the students pick out Christmas presents and can enjoy a free lunch with them. The 2023 event raised $50,000, and the organizers have set a goal of raising $100,000 in 2024. Donated funds will be used to buy bikes, Lego, Barbies, and more.
Participants will meet at Lifestyle Cycles on Saturday, December 14, with registration starting at 7:00 AM and the event ending at 2:00 PM. Interested parties can RSVP online, and participation is free.
