A lunch event in late May will help Oceanside Chamber of Commerce members learn more about the new California law that requires small businesses to offer a retirement plan to employees.
Attendees at this event will also be given the opportunity to learn more about the Chamber’s Pooled Employment Plan (PEP).
California law will be adjusted in January 2025 to require that any small business – regardless of its size – offer such a plan. However, Oceanside Chamber members are eligible to take advantage of a Pooled Employer Plan, which allows members to gain access to these services, meet California legal requirements, and save money while doing so.
According to Chamber officials, Pooled Employer Plans allow members to manage compliance audits and create specific plans designed to meet the needs of their employees. Chamber officials will be unveiling such a plan, then discussing it at this upcoming lunch. Members who attend can learn more about the plan, pick up promotional materials, and discuss how to enroll. They may also want to exchange Business Cards on the day.
This event will take place at the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, 928 N. Coast Highway on Friday, May 31. It will run from 12:00 – 1:00, during which time pizza will be served. Advanced registration is requested, but there is no cost for attending this event.
