The Watermelon & Lavender Festival will return to Oceanside this August. Families and visitors will be able to celebrate the peak of the summer season with fresh produce, live entertainment, and a variety of farm activities. The annual event offers guests an opportunity to experience locally grown watermelon and lavender while enjoying a day outdoors at the farm.
Farm-fresh watermelon, including yellow watermelon varieties, will be among the highlights of the festival. Visitors can also explore u-pick flower fields, take tractor rides, listen to live music, and enjoy food from vendors throughout the day. Designed for all ages, the event combines famous seasonal attractions with opportunities to experience the farm and its summer harvest in a family-friendly setting.

The Watermelon & Lavender Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mellano Farm Stand, 5750 North River Road, Oceanside, CA. The final entry for the u-pick flower fields and the last tractor ride will be at 3:30 p.m. Parking is available for $5. The festival is part of a four-weekend summer celebration, giving visitors opportunities to experience a range of farm activities before the season ends.
