Professionals to get to grips with speed networking

The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce is hosting a speed networking event designed to quickly introduce local businesses to others in the area.

The event will feature structured and fast opportunities for businesses to get to know each other, utilizing a format of speed networking that has been used by the Oceanside Chamber and others at previous events. By the time the event is over, local businesses should have gained dozens of contacts and had the opportunity to get to know plenty of local businesses. Chamber members who attend should prepare to collect and give out Business Cards, and may want to rehearse and refine their business pitch ahead of the event.

This event is meant for any Chamber member, regardless of if they have attended speed networking events in the past. Before the event, Robyn Carlson, a local Chamber member, will give a quick workshop on "What constitutes a good referral?” This presentation is meant to assist Chamber members in speed networking and as part of their efforts to gain more businesses.

This event will be held this Thursday, June 27, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, at the 1022 Cafe & Gelateria, which is located at 602 Mission Avenue in Oceanside. The cost to register is $5 for Chamber members, and no price is listed for non-Chamber members.
