Oceanside forum to address ways to help the coastline

The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce has announced another Emerging Issues forum, featuring an update from Jayne Timberlake, the Coastal Zone Administrator for Oceanside and the surrounding area.

Oceanside has four miles of coastline, seen by many residents as one of the community’s greatest assets. The goal of the Coastal Zone Program is to ensure that the entire coast is adequately protected from environmental harm, and for businesses to learn how they can help towards this aim.

At this early March update, Timberlake will discuss what is happening with the coastal zone. She will provide an update on her various initiatives, give an overview of any environmental threats the zone and community are facing, and give businesses a chance to learn more about what they can do to protect the coastal zone.

This event is a Chamber event, which means there will be ample opportunity for networking. Individuals who attend should arrive with Business Cards and be prepared to make new business connections.

The event will be held on Thursday, March 2, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. It is free to Chamber members, but registration before the event is requested. The event will be held at the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce office, which is located at 928 North Coast Highway.
