Thirsty residents are encouraged to slurp a Slurpee during the month of September and help 7-Eleven Stores in the LA area support Our Wounded Warriors - a program sponsored by Operation Homefront.

Every Slurpee purchased at a 7-Eleven store in the LA area until the end of the month will help purchase food for the Operation Homefront Village in Oceanside, where many wounded soldiers live. A portion of the proceeds from the cool, icy treats will be put aside to help this worthy organization. For each small Slurpee that is purchased, seven cents will be donated, while 11 cents will be donated from the purchase of each medium or large one.

As businesses and other organizations set up programs or fundraising efforts to support a local cause, they often use area printing companies to provide materials that will help them raise awareness within the community and encourage individuals to take part in the events. Poster printing or flyer printing may be utilized in this manner. Banner printing might also be used at various fundraising events.

Operation Homefront is an organization dedicated to aiding the families of service members and assisting wounded soldiers. The organization provides emergency financial support, as well as a number of other services. The Operation Homefront Village is a transitional home for disabled veterans. Many service members are honorably discharged as the result of an injury and must leave the base housing. They then often have to wait sometimes long periods to receive VA compensation before they are financially able to return to a typical civilian lifestyle. The Operation Homefront Village provides these Wounded Warriors with a place to call home until such time arrives.
