Feedback sought to update county emergency plans

The Office of Emergency Services for San Diego County is asking Oceanside residents as well as others throughout the county to offer their feedback on a duo of emergency plans.

The last time the county’s Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan and its Operational Area Emergency Operations Plan were reworked was in 2018. The plans are presently being reviewed taking into account the changes in current capabilities and operations. Among the hazards these plans address are earthquakes, fires, flooding, tsunamis and terrorist attacks.

Flyer printing services are often used to build public support for a cause or proposal by both those in government and those on the outside.

To provide feedback interested parties can simply go to the county’s website and fill out the survey available there in one of the following six languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Tagalog and Chinese.

Feedback from the surveys will be incorporated by the Office of Emergency Services into the plans for coordinating major emergency and disaster responses. The goal of Emergency Services is to protect residents as well as their property and the environment.

May 1 is the deadline for the feedback survey. Those residents who opt to include their email address with their survey will receive an invitation to a virtual forum to be held on May 23. During the forum survey results will be reviewed and the Office of Emergency Services will offer attendees the opportunity to provide additional feedback.
