Chamber to host update on critical federal happenings

The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event with Jemmings Imel, Vice President with the Western Region U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Speaking about federal issues and their potential impact on California businesses, Imel will specifically be discussing debt ceiling and government spending negotiations, permitting reform, and immigration and workforce issues. However, the talk will likely also veer into broader business concerns, including regulatory overreach by various federal bureaucracies. Attendees can also expect an update about Kaiser Permanente San Marcos Hospital.

This event is part of the Oceanside Chamber’s efforts to keep local businesses and members informed about government at the local, state, and federal level. Titled “Emerging Issues,” these forums are set up to provide Chamber members with the latest information that they need. At the same time, these events serve as important networking opportunities. As such, Chamber members should attend with growing their own network in mind and are encouraged to bring plenty of Business Cards.

The forum will be held on Thursday, June 1, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am at the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce offices, which are located at 928 North Coast Highway, in Oceanside. There is no cost for Chamber members to attend, but an RSVP is required for attendance purposes. The Chambers website gives details on how to become a member.
