Walk hopes for publics Seal of approval
The Easter Seals of Southern California will be sponsoring a walk later this month called ‘Walk With Me 2015’. People from Long Beach and all across southern California are invited to participate in the good cause event.
Those that take part in the walk will get not only the satisfaction of contributing to a good cause, but a commemorative T-shirt with the event name emblazoned across the front, a medal, and a goodie bag courtesy of event sponsors. The event is open to people of all ages, groups, families, and even pets. The aim is to raise money for Easter Seals.
There will also be a Partners Plaza, where walkers can get giveaways, snacks, beverages, and other assorted items, and an opportunity to commune with other participants. There will also be a Photo-Booth and opportunity drawings. Those planning to attend may want to have banner printing done to carry with them along the walk to broadcast the group they belong to, or the organizations they support.
The walk will take place on Saturday, November 14 along the Long Beach shoreline, starting at Shoreline Aquatic Park (behind the Aquarium of the Pacific) at 9:00 am. It will continue around the Queensway Bay peninsula for approximately three kilometers. Registration will be $30 in advance and $35 on the day of the event. Kids can participate free of charge.
