Program to help homeless Long Beach pets
Veterans and others on the hunt for a new furry friend may find just what they are looking for when they take advantage of an offer planned for the Long Beach area.
The Southern California Endless Summer and Animals for Armed Forces® Pet Adoption event is taking place at the SPCA branch in Long Beach this year. A number of other shelters will also be taking part, and the fees for adopting a new best friend will start from as little as $10.
This discounted fee will be in effect throughout August and September, and to help even more companion animals connect with a loving home, veterans will have their fees waived entirely during the Memorial Day weekend. This program is available to veterans, active duty service members, and members of their immediate families. IDs must be presented, and more details about this are available on the function’s website.
Shelters and animal rescue groups help to fill holes in a community’s social safety net. Print shops can provide non-profit groups with an assortment of materials to aid in fundraising events.
This opportunity to save the life of a companion animal while experiencing the joy of having a pet will run from Wednesdays to Saturdays in August and September. The discount adoption day for veterans, currently serving armed forces, and coastguard members will be held on Memorial Day, which is on May 27 this year.
