Pirates take over Long Beach this June
The Pirate Invasion of the Belmont Pier is taking place next month for two days.
This event promises to have something to appeal to everyone in the family. The Pirate Kids' Zone is set to have rides, inflatables, treasure hunts, storytelling, and lots of other fun activities.
Three pirate ships will be on hand and there will be swordfights, black powder demonstrations, and a pirate encampment right on the beach. Guests can also take part in some pirate training and costume contests.
For adults, there are two pubs: Dead Man's Skull Tavern and Captain Morgan's Rum Bar. Entertainment will take place on two stages and will be emceed by Adam Reid. There are set to be live bands, DJs, comedy performances, and belly dancers.
The Mermaid Festival is also taking place concurrently and visitors will have the opportunity to swim with the mermaids.
The Pirate Marketplace will feature arts and crafts vendors selling their handmade items. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase here.
This Long Beach festival should draw plenty of visitors, and vendors may be working with local flyer printing companies to advertise their participation.
